I love nice smelling things. I mean, honestly who doesn’t like nice smelling things? This post is off to a flying start… But, in particular, I really love smelling nice, and finding new perfumes and body sprays that I love.
Also fun fact though, I HATE spending loads of money on perfume, because it actually pains me to hand over that amount of money for something which is so unessential (although, I do wear it everyday, but alas, student life) so usually I ask for perfume for Birthdays, Christmas, special occasions etc…
I thought I would do a small round up of the perfumes I’m loving at the moment. If you have read my blog for years, I used to do a series on my blog called “Saturday Scents” where, every Saturday, I would talk about a fave perfume of mine. The series quickly died out, when 16 year old Lauren realised she didn’t actually own that many perfumes, but hey, they’re still on my blog if you fancy a laugh.
Also side note, I am THE WORST at describing smells, so this post will be an interesting one to write…
I’d describe this as my all time favourite. This is kind of my ‘signature scent’ some would say. I love love love looooove this perfume. I first got it on a trip to Paris, where I think it had just been released, and the lady in Sephora was spraying it all over me. But, I fell in love with it, and years later, I still love to wear it.
I realised that a lot of my favourite smells have notes of Jasmine in, but as I said, I won’t attempt to describe all the fancy notes, because I’ll just fail, but to me, this smells quite floral but also sweet at the same time. I don’t think it’s overpowering though, hence why I love wearing this everyday.
(The eagle eyed readers may notice that this bottle is currently empty- sad sad times…)
I got this perfume on a cruise last year, and the first time I smelt it, I knew I had to buy it. I ended up buying it in Brugges, but sadly as you can see it’s all used up now. Cry.
This perfume to me was more of a night time scent, it smells sexy- that’s the best I can describe it. I also love this perfume because it reminds me of summer last year, and that was one of my favourite summers! Paco Rabanne has lots of great smelling perfumes and aftershaves, but they can be pretty pricey which is sad:( Saying that though, this perfume did last for ages, and the smallest amount went a really long way!
These are a recent discovery of mine, and they are so nice! Also, they are £3.49 each, so they don’t make me want to cry when buying them!
I love these though, the pink one – Exotic- smells EXACTLY like YSL Black Opium perfume, which is another favourite of mine, and the blue one – Blossom- smells very much like Tierry Mugler’s Alien, if you’re familiar with that.
These are really affordable, and I love how they smell. They are often on sale or offer in Superdrug as well, as the idea is you’re supposed to layer them up to create your own smells. I have yet to try this, but I do always keep one in my bag at all times!
This was around £14 for 100ml, and so it’s another affordable option. I always find Next actually have quite nice perfumes, so definitely go and have a sniff.
I’m not sure if this is limited edition for summer, but firstly, the bottle is so beautiful, and the packaging doesn’t look or feel cheap or tacky, in my opinion.
This smells really fruity and fresh, and is quite different for me, but I am really enjoying using it. Adam actually picked this one out, so the boy did good.
I currently really want the “Floral Shock” edition of YSL Black Opium because I smelt it the other day and it is amazing! Also the Glossier perfume smells incredible and I love that one as well!
Maybe this will be the month I treat myself to a new perfume, I’m graduating so could use that as an excuse….
Hope you enjoyed seeing a few of my fave fragrances at the moment!
Love, Lauren xx
