Today I thought I would blog about one of my favourite eyeshadow palettes I own, because the last two posts haven’t really discussed makeup much, and I wanted to…
Everyone, meet my baby. *heart eye emoji* So in this palette I have 5 MAC eye shadows, and the rest are all MakeUp Geek, and I’ll be completely honest, I do prefer the Makeup Geek ones, and they work out at about £6 each, compared to the MAC ones which are about £10. I did have to buy little magnets for the Makeup geek (MUG) shadows on ebay, but I got 10 magnets for £2 so it wasn’t too bad. Also, I should point out that for about a year I only had the 5 MAC shades, because those 5 alone add up to £50 which is more expensive than a Naked Palette, so when I found Makeup Geek I was very pleased indeed!
I’ll show you the swatches now….
Top row, from Left to Right:
MAC Naked Lunch
MAC All that glitters
MAC Satin Taupe
So these are the MAC shades I have in this palette, and I still love them all, I just think the quality of the makeup geek ones are slightly better. My favourite recently has been woodwinked, but I also really love Shale to darken up the crease of my eye.
Middle Row, Left to Right.
MUG Shimma Shimma
MUG Foiled shadow in In the Spotlight
MUG Foiled shadow in Grandstand
MUG Duochrome in Steam Punk
MUG Drama Queen
This is probably my favourite row of shadows, my two favourites being In the Spotlight and Grandstand because they are stunning. They are the foiled formula eyeshadows, and if you like shimmery eyeshadows I would highly recommend these!
Bottom Row, Left to Right.
MUG Créme Brulée
MUG Prom Night
So in this row its mainly matte shadows which I like to use in the crease, or as transition shades. I particularly love Créme Brulée for my crease because you can literally use it for any look you want. i also really have been loving Prom Night recently, but I will say it is kind of similar for MAC’s Satin Taupe, so I probably don’t need both but oh well…
I thought i’d show you the super professional set up I have going on the back of this palette…
So neat and tidy….
